Lance Wilt


Lance was born in raised in Central Pennsylvania on the banks of Big Fishing Creek, near the town of Lamar. He began working as a fly fishing guide in 2003, while earning a degree in Outdoor Recreation Management from Lock Haven University.  His 14 years of professional experience span across five states and three continents.  In addition to his career as a full-time fly fishing guide, Lance coached the 2011 United States Youth Fly Fishing team to the United States’ first medal in international competition and has served as a clinician and instructor for various organizations and universities.  Lance’s articles and photographs have been featured in periodicals as well as best-selling fishing books.  Lance is the founder and manager of Outcast Anglers since 2010. He also manages the exclusive Limestone Lodge and its adjacent fly shop.

Juan David Vera a.k.a. JD

International Trip Coordinator/Guide

JD was born and raised in Valparaiso, Chile and started fishing with his father at the young age of six.  He holds both English and Business degrees from UCV and UAI, respectively.  In addition to his experiences in North America, he has fished across South America, Europe, and Asia.  JD splits his guide season between Outcast Anglers and Cinco Rios Lodge in Chilean Patagonia, where he serves as Head Guide of the operation.  Apart from his passion for fishing, JD enjoys mountain biking and playing traditional Chilean wind instruments.
